Ingredients 



1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled, or vegetable oil, plus more for pans. 

3/4 cup Cocoa, plus more for pans 

2 cups sugar 

1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour 

1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 

1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda 

1 teaspoon salt 

1 cup milk, room temperature 

2 large eggs, lightly beaten, room temperature 

2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract 

1 cup boiling water 



Instructions 



Place rack in center of oven, and heat to 350°.

chinese salt 1/2 tspn
